“This is the third time that we’ve done it, and the third trip,” said Bob Pritchard, executive director of the Kentucky Heritage Association.
“It’s going to be great for South Carolina, which has the longest-standing tradition of getting its pictures taken at the national capitol in the Capital Beltway.
It will be great to be able to be part of it, just to see the pictures and be part the festivities.”
The Kentucky Heritage Tour and Museum is located on the grounds of the historic Capitol building in downtown Lexington.
It is open for public tours and photo op with the National Capital Preservation Board and the U.S. Capitol Police on Thursday and Friday.
The Kentucky Star is the national pride of Kentucky and is a part of the national Capitol complex.
The Star is a member of the Association of American Photographers (AAAP) and was one of the sponsors of the 2014 Kentucky Heritage Celebration.
