The Ohio State University is opening its new Ohio Stadium to the public for a “searches and searches” event.
The announcement comes as many have called for the Ohio Capitol to be moved because of the attack on the Capitol building in late July.
In response to the attack, the Ohio Legislature passed a law allowing the state to use public land to house military and police.
The Ohio Capitol has been empty for more than two months.
The new stadium will feature seating for 5,000 and will be accessible via the south tunnel.
The event will be held from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., according to the university.
The stadium is scheduled to open in late October.
